The course is created and delivered by Captain Ed McDonald, a retired Air Canada B787 pilot. Ed’s flying background includes being type rated on the Boeing 737/767/787/ and 777, Airbus A330/A340, the owner of warbird and general aviation aircraft, a jet instructor in the RCAF. Ed's expertise comes from being an instrument procedure designer since 2001, an engineering consultant specializing in GPS since 1993.
What makes this course unique is the extensive background Ed provides beyond what is available in publications like the Aeronautical Information Manual but years of IFR flight experience, satellite-based navigation and instrument procedure design.
